If you are between 16 and 18 this programme has been designed for you to bridge the gap between education and the working world. We will prepare you and help you start your career in the ever expanding Health & Social Care industry with our 4 week intensive training programme, followed by a period of work experience.
The Health & Social Care sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK and offers achoice of careers from new roles for those starting out to high level care professionals and managers, with many interesting job opportunities in between. So what is the best way to get into this high opportunity sector? Well, there is always work available for qualified andexperienced personnel.Our Health & Social Care Diploma coupled with our work experience will give you the necessary qualifications and experience to start your first job and then the worldis your oyster. Better still, you will be paid £78 a week for every week you are training or on work experience with us!
Our programmes start every three months and places are limited. The training will be deliveredfrom our Walthamstow training centre and will run for the first 4 weeks of the programme. We will then arrange your work experience with one of our Health & Social Care providers. You will work a normal shift at one of their homes, under supervision and experience all of the opportunities a career in Health & Social Care can offer.
At the end of the programme you will receive both an employer reference and a training reference and the Diploma in Health & Social Care qualifications. In addition you will receive up to £78 per week for every full week of training and work experience and possibly an offer of a job from the company you have worked for.
Over 18? you still be able to apply and take part, but unfortunately at this point in time there is no funding to do it for free.
