womanwithclipboardThis year QKL Ltd is working with 158 new apprentices. Due to the end of Train to Gain funding; QKL have managed to find alternative apprenticeship funding  to provide training for employers providing services in health and Social Care.

The apprenticeships are a bundle of qualifications that are all relevant to your sector and job role. For staff, this is an amazing opportunity to gain qualifications that you may have missed out on whilst at school or in college. Alternatively; any qualifications gained that are within the apprenticeship framework, will not have to be retaken if they have been recently achieved (within the past 5 years). For employers this new set of qualifications can be matched accurately to the job roles of all your staff.

The frameworks vary from sector to sector, but usually consist of similar packages that can be adapted to your job role, making them relevant, worth while and easy to digest. The Health and Social Care Apprenticeships consist of:

  • Diploma (an update to the old NVQ)
  • Technical Certificate (theory behind your job role)
  • Key/Functional Skills (communication and Application of Number and for some Information communication Technology)
  • ERR (Employee’s Rights and Responsibilities)
QKL is working hard to incorporate the individual qualifications into one workbook that will save time and will make the course seem less daunting to potential and current learners. These courses will usually take 18 months to 2 years; but can be completed any time before so long as you put the work in.

As we are approaching the new academic year, new funding may arise. QKL is always looking for different types of funding.

Please check the website regularly for updates regarding the different types of funding available or call our sales marketing manager Adina on 0208 520 4300
