This is in recognition of her outstanding work in health and social care. Martine, who works as an occupational therapy assistant for Ealing Social Services, achieved the Star Unit for her exceptional work and support for clients. In addition Martine trains and mentors front line staff to assess client’s minor Occupational Therapy needs and provide equipment. This speeds up the client’s access to support services.
Martine said "The NVQ was hard work but it helped me reflect on my practice” she added “staff can often feel taken for granted, but I received encouraging feedback from my assessor and the Star Unit has given me more confidence about the quality of my work"
